The recent CV Show at the NEC in Birmingham was a great success with around 500 exhibitors and 18000 visitors, many more than the previous few years. Telma Retarder Limited were present at the show and were delighted by the response of the people met.
A few of our ‘factory option’ customers were showing new products and gearing up for Euro VI. Iveco showed a 3.5 tonne Daily panel-van fitted with Stop & Start and a new Gear Shift Indicator to help a driver get the best fuel economy.
Mercedes had one of the biggest stands at the show enabling them to show the Telma-popular Sprinter brand. One interesting thing to note was from Sam Whittaker (Truck Sales and Marketing Director) who spoke about the upgrade to Euro VI and later Euro VII. He said “When I look at particulate matter on trucks, there are more emissions that come off the tyres of our Eco Hybrid Canter and from its brakes for example than out of its exhaust.” Telma can do something about one of those, Sam!
A busy and successful show, which bodes well for the UK market and the future of the exhibition itself."
